During the October meeting of the Pamlico County Board of Education, Pamlico County Middle School (PCMS) students, Anna and Caroline Rose, and Pamlico County High School (PCHS) student, Annie Anderson, were recognized as the Oriental Rotary Students of the Month for their school.

Staff members who have completed their 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th and 25th year of service to Pamlico County Schools were recognized during the October meeting of the Pamlico County Board of Education.

The Pamlico County Schools district will continue the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) meal option for Pre K – 8th grade students for the 2019-2020 school year.

During the August meeting of the Pamlico County Board of Education, Pamlico County High School (PCHS) teacher and coach, Earl Sadler, was recognized for having been chosen as one of two coaches from the eastern part of the state to coach the 2019 East Boys’ Basketball Team during the N.C. Coaches Association’s East-West All-Star Games held July 15-17 in Greensboro.

During the August meeting of the Pamlico County Board of Education, Pamlico County High School (PCHS) students were recognized for having been named to the 2019 Sun Journal All-Area Baseball Team.

Mr. Brinson served as superintendent for PCS from 1969-1991. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family.

Pamlico County Schools will operate on a 2 Hour Delay Schedule for Students on Monday. Staff should report at normal times.

Due to the anticipated arrival of Hurricane Dorian, Pamlico County Schools will be closed for both students and staff on September 5 - 6, 2019.

Due to the anticipated arrival of Hurricane Dorian later this week, and in order for us to prepare Pamlico County Middle School for this storm, Wednesday, September 4th will be an Optional Workday for Pamlico County Schools’ staff, and there will be no school tomorrow for all students.
