Pamlico County Primary School contains grades K-3 and is also home to our award-winning PreK program.  We serve approximately 350 students. 
 
Our primary school teachers are known for their dedication and passion in helping students discover the joy of learning. This dedication contributes to the nurturing and supportive environment where young learners feel comfortable and encouraged to explore and learn. The focus of our school is to build strong foundational skills in subjects like reading, writing, and mathematics, ensuring that students have a solid academic base for future learning. Our teachers incorporate activities that promote creativity, such as art, music, and play, allowing students to express themselves in various ways.

Parents and families play a central role in our school system, and we take pride in acknowledging that our family volunteers are exceptionally supportive and actively engaged. These dedicated volunteers contribute in various ways, from organizing special events to reading with students, and are a familiar presence in our classrooms regularly.

Our elementary school provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere where students feel comfortable and eager to learn. Our teachers recognize and celebrate the need for individualized learning approaches to ensure academic success.  We offer an engaging curriculum that sparks the curiosity and enthusiasm of young learners, which allows our teachers to employ innovative and effective teaching methods to make lessons interesting and cater to diverse learning styles, creating a dynamic and interactive learning environment.

Pamlico County Middle School excels in providing a smooth transition for students from elementary to high school, offering the support needed during this crucial phase of academic and personal development. Middle school is a time for students to explore a variety of subjects, and our school provides a well-rounded curriculum that allows them to discover and develop their interests. Our dedicated educators are passionate about guiding students through their academic journey and helping them discover their interests and strengths.

Pamlico County High School offers a diverse range of courses, allowing students to explore various subjects and tailor their education to align with their interests and future goals.  

The availability of Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors programs along with our partnership with Pamlico Community College reflects our commitment to academic excellence, providing challenging coursework for students seeking to excel.

Our Career and Technical Education (CTE) program boasts introductory courses that provide students with hands-on, real-world experiences that directly relate to future careers, making learning more practical and relevant.  CTE offers students the opportunity to explore various career paths early on, helping them make informed decisions about their future and align their education with their interests.

Our high school celebrates athletic achievements, fostering a sense of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among students participating in various sports programs. The arts department supports artistic expression through a range of arts and cultural programs, providing students with opportunities to explore and showcase their creative talents.

Our award-winning Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) is known for its focus on developing leadership skills among students, and instilling qualities such as responsibility, discipline, and teamwork.  JROTC encourages students to set personal and academic goals, teaching them the skills needed to plan, work towards, and achieve their objectives while providing them with insights into various career paths, including military service, and helping them explore potential career opportunities.
