Two Pamlico County Schools Recognized for Student Growth

Pamlico County Primary School has been recognized as being in the top 50% of all schools in North Carolina for EVAAS growth for the 22 - 23 school year. Pamlico County Middle School has been recognized as being in the top 10% of all schools in North Carolina for EVAAS growth in the 22-23 school year.

EVAAS stands for "Education Value-Added Assessment System." EVAAS focuses on evaluating student progress, assessing the degree to which a student's academic performance advances from one year to the next. The North Carolina Department of Public Education uses EVAAS to measure a student’s growth from one point to another using results from the End-of-Course assessments, End-of-Grade assessments, Career and Technical Education State Assessments, and the NC Final Exams.

We are exceptionally proud of all the students and staff who have worked so hard to make this growth possible.
