Frazer and Harwick recognized at board meeting

PCHS NJROTC Cadets Bonnie Frazer and Abby Harwick were recognized last night at the PCS Board Meeting for their participation in the inaugural Chief of Naval Aviation Summer Academy.
This was the first time this opportunity was available for Navy JROTC students. Only 20 cadets (out of 300 applicants) were selected for this prestigious training. It is particularly noteworthy that 2 of the twenty were from our school!

Both students attended Delaware State University for 8 weeks during this past summer to participate in an accelerated program to prepare and receive their pilots license. The program required as much as 16 hours of study time a day, 6 days a week for 8 weeks. While there students were able to meet with representatives of major airlines, military recruiters and leaders of the aviation program within Delaware State University.
Both students successfully completed the course and we now proudly call them “pilots”. Both of these students look forward to starting an aviation career.
