Students Receive December Rotary Student of the Month Award

Each month, this recognition is bestowed upon students who exhibit scholastic achievement, leadership, honesty, community service, teamwork, and empathy, among other notable characteristics.

The 8th grade team at PCMS nominated Tiana for this award. An Honor Roll Student, Tiana is captain of the PCMS cheerleading team, and is well-liked by her peers and teachers. She is a respectful young lady with a tremendous work ethic. Tiana is a role model for her peers and a great ambassador for the middle school.

As for the high school’s recipient, Lastat’s teacher, Brandi Philipps, said the following about him. “Lastat is an all-around great student, and he consistently has a positive attitude toward his work. He cares about what he is learning and it shows in the way that he participates in class and helps his classmates.”

Students who are nominated for this award receive a certificate and a Rotary coin which states the Rotary Four-Way Test: “Of the things we think, say or do: 1) Is it the TRUTH?, 2) Is it FAIR to all concerned?, 3) Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?, and 4) Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?”
