Students Receive April Rotary Student of the Month Award

Lori Beth was nominated by the 7th grade team of Martha Harper, Megan Hampson, Beverly Rust and Jeremy Norman. She puts her academic pursuits at the forefront. One of her goals this year was to win the school Spelling Bee and she achieved it! LoriBeth is punctual, hard-working, and dependable. She is eager to tutor other students when they need help. As a tutor, she is patient and kind to her learner as she walks them through the steps to a better understanding of the material. The 7th grade team has enjoyed having LoriBeth in classes this year.
Kennedy’s nominator, teacher Christine Wayne, said, “Kennedy's love of science shows every day as she puts forth extra effort in and out of class to learn about the topic at hand. She always gives 100% and will go out of her way to help others. I am very proud of Kennedy and feel she is deserving of this honor.”
Students who are nominated for this award receive a framed certificate and a Rotary coin which states the Rotary Four-Way Test: “Of the things we think, say or do: 1) Is it the TRUTH?, 2) Is it FAIR to all concerned?, 3) Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?, and 4) Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?” To further commemorate this honor, the Rotary Club has placed a plaque in both schools which displays the name of each recipient of this prestigious award.
