Each month, this recognition is bestowed upon students who exhibit scholastic achievement, leadership, honesty, community service, teamwork, and empathy, among other notable characteristics.
Seventh grade teachers nominated Abby Harwick because she is a dedicated and outstanding student who is always going above and beyond in her academics and consistently exceeds classroom expectations. She is a leader among her peers and sets a great example for academic excellence and conduct. She exhibits maturity and perseverance beyond her years. She is also a member of the PCMS band, Beta Club, PCMS Book Club, and Model United Nations. We are all very proud of Abby. She represents PCMS very well in all that she does!
Principal Meadows had the following to say about Tayla. “She is an exceptional young lady that embodies what it means to represent the Rotary as Student of the Month, as she values her community, and specifically her school community, as she has come to me on different occasions because she was worried about potential issues between students where many students would have remained quiet. When I thanked her and asked why, she stated that wanted the best for our school. To go along with this pride and compassion she has for PCHS, Tayla is also a very bright young lady who has taken and excelled in several honors and college classes. She has the admiration of her peers and teachers alike that has been earned through her hard work, positive attitude, and glowing personality. There is no doubt in my mind that when Tayla graduates this June, she will be successful in all of her future endeavors. I am very proud to have had the opportunity to have Tayla as my student for the past three years.”
To further commemorate this honor, the Rotary Club has placed a plaque in both schools which displays the name of each recipient of this prestigious award.
