PCHS Wrestlers WIN BIG

The PCHS Wrestling season finished up with a BANG this past weekend. After having five wrestlers qualify to compete in the NCHSSA State Wrestling Championships, four PCHS wrestlers took the podium. Qualifying athlete Jake Whitley was not able to compete due to having surgery earlier in the week.

Coach Kevin Knox says:

"What a season and what a ride with this team! I couldn’t be more proud of these young men. All 4 of them found their way on the podium this weekend while Jake, our 5th qualifier that had surgery earlier this week, watched every minute, cheering them on from home! This team and our parents/fans are amazing and again were the loudest when we were announced! I can’t thank you all enough for everything you’ve done this entire season!

120- Marcus Tyson 2nd in the state
126- Elijah Dacuyan 4th in the state
195- Ryan Baker 4th in the state
220- Tyler Stevens 2nd in the state"

Congratulations to all the athletes, coaches, parents, and families for the continued success of this wonderful program. The Pamlico Wrestling tradition continues!
